Sri Lanka Squash to host a Referee grooming course in September 2025

Sri Lanka Squash plans to gain international recognition by hosting major events in Sri Lanka such as 2027 Asian Junior Squash Championships , 2026 Sri Lanka junior (Asian Junior super series) and PSA (Professional Squash Association) International tournaments.

In order to improve the standards of the game and conduct such International tournaments in Sri Lanka, it is vital to have a strong and sound refereeing team spread across Tri Forces and clubs.

Referee refresher courses are essential for maintaining fair play by keeping officials updated on rule changes, fostering consistency in decision-making, and enhancing management skills like communication and handling difficult situations. By reinforcing foundational knowledge and adapting to evolving tactics, these courses build confidence, ensure a high standard of officiating, and contribute to more organized and enjoyable sporting events.

Sri Lanka Squash is conducting an International Referee refresher course in Sri Lanka at Ratmalana Air Force Squash Complex from 16th to 21st September 2025 in line with Reliance PSA International Challenger tournament.

In line with the recommendation of Asian Squash Federation, said program is conducted by Asian Squash Federation – Referees Director and WSO (World Squash Officiating) accredited Referee Mr. Srikanth Kangayam Seshadri.
