Sri Lanka Squash gears for High performance training with signing up coaching and fitness expertise

Sri Lanka Squash with a five-year plan to boost the medal winning prospects of the sport has signed up with Sri Lankan young coaching talent to support the development and potential high performance team training.
 

Gihan Suwaris and Naduni Gunwardena have come on board under a focused program to build the skills and international game success of potential players.
 
Physical fitness expert Ashan Gamlath who was with Sri Lanka Squash from 2020 renewed his association with Sri Lanka Squash to improve the standard of the players further.
 
Both Gihan Suwaris and Naduni Gunawardena are Former top National players who have represented Sri Lanka at Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and Asian Squash Championships conducted by Asian Squash Federation (ASF) who have now taken up coaching as young professional squash coaches carrying a wealth of experience. Both are ASF Level II qualified coaches.
 

Ashan Gamlath is a renowned physical fitness expert involved in the Sri Lankan National Football as Fitness coach and who has had stint with the Sri Lankan Tennis team. He holds a BSc in (special) in Sports sciences and Management from University of Sabaragamuwa , A Diploma in Physical fitness Training and a National Diploma in Strength and conditioning.
